In the past year, the vacancy rate downtown experienced a noticeable spike as our report now reflects the relocation and significant downsizing of the Co-Operators. This, combined with general market conditions has created greater urgency for landlords to renew existing tenants and offer deals to those tenants willing to relocate.
As Managing Director of Saskatchewan Brokerage operations, Richard's focus is on creating and executing growth strategies through business development and service excellence. In this role, he provides leadership and professional development to the Saskatchewan brokerage teams located in Saskatoon and Regina. Richard has extensive experience in various aspects of commercial and industrial development, commercial real estate operations, project and asset management, and human resource administration. He joined Colliers International after prior roles as a General Manager at Viterra, Chief Operating Officer at FarmPure Foods and most recently, as Managing Director at Avison Young where he spent the past 11 years.
Robert began working for Colliers International in Regina in March 2014 where he provides research services for the Brokerage team. He completed a bachelor’s and master’s degree where he focused on the history of urban development and the Canadian economy.
In his role at Colliers he is responsible for the collection, maintenance and analysis of data for the comprehensive property database. This data helps to provide information and context for commercial properties in Regina and Southern Saskatchewan. This information also allows for the identification of new developments and market trends within the province.
Working with the brokerage and marketing team, Robert is responsible for the quarterly reports, custom research, statistics and presentations relating to all commercial asset classes. He also assists the brokers directly with site selection and property valuation and analysis. Robert also provides consulting services relating to commercial properties, land and existing and future development in Southern Saskatchewan.
