  • The vacancy rate in the city of Nanaimo industrial market decreased 171 basis points, year-over year, from 2.42% in Q3 2022 to 0.71% in Q3 2023.
  • Not only has the lack of new supply impacted the vacancy rate but it has also significantly impacted the average asking net rent, which has increased from $15.63 per square foot in Q3 2022 to $20.86 per square foot in Q3 2023. 
  • 331,906 SF of new speculative construction in permitting stages.
