- The overall vacancy rate within the Halifax office market decreased 10 basis points this quarter to 15.5%. The Suburban Halifax submarket continues to be the most sought after region for office space in the city with the lowest vacancy rates in the region at 10.1% overall.
- Construction continues in the Halifax Regional Municipality with Queen’s Marque in the Downtown market, and Westway Park III in Bedford; combined these will add a total of over 170,000 square feet of Class ‘A’ office space by the end of 2019.
- There continue to be many options for tenants looking to locate in the downtown sub-market, with several buildings having multiple full floor vacancies and a large quantity of demisable space options.
