Halifax Industrial Market Report Q4 2023

The Halifax market experienced the first decrease in vacancy all year, with Q4 2023 finishing at only 2.7% vacant, which is a 70-basis point increase year-over-year.

  • Coming down the pipeline for 2024, the Greater Halifax Area is expecting roughly 875,000 square feet, across the Bayers Lake and Burnside submarkets.
  • Net absorption peaked again this quarter, at 88,000 square feet, heavily influenced by 1285 Jim Connors opening with 40,000 square feet of full occupancy.
