Despite Calgary’s Downtown office market once again experiencing significant negative absorption in Q2, quarter-over-quarter contraction decreased from Q1 to Q2.

  • The expansion of the tech industry in Calgary continues to be a notable segment of growth as more major tech companies such as Mphasis, Infosys and mCloud commit to establishing their Canadian headquarters in Calgary.
  • 58% of companies surveyed in the latest installment of the Colliers office recovery report claim they will introduce a hybrid model of work going forward, meaning employees will have the option to work remotely for a percentage of the week.
  • There has been a trend of organizations beginning to consider their office space, workplace design and amenities as a tool to entice employees back to the office.
