Colliers’ Vancouver Managing Director, Madeleine Nicholls joined a panel of industry experts for ‘Conversation With: Real Estate’ hosted by the Young Women in Business (YWiB) UBC and the University of British Columbia (UBC) Real Estate Club. In addition, Colliers has partnered with UBC’s Real Estate Club as a bronze sponsor to support entrepreneurial minds in commercial real estate.
As a panelist, Madeleine shared her expertise of the real estate market and industry knowledge through the lens of equity, diversity and inclusion. The event took place on February 16th and was open to all UBC students.
Madeleine has extensive experience working on some of the pre-eminent developments in Canada. She has successfully leased up a variety of mixed use and retail projects ranging in size from urban retail to 73-acre retail/office/residential mixed-use developments. She has exceptional tenant relationship management and expertise in redevelopment of properties to maximize value. Madeleine’s expertise comprises of all levels of new business development, from strategic planning and acquisitions to prospecting, pitching, negotiating offers and leases, and the build-out of commercial spaces.
As a key leader of our Vancouver Brokerage team, Madeleine is a passionate and vocal advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion across the business. Madeleine is a current Chair of the Colliers Women’s Network across North America. She firmly believes in the value of mentorship and spends her time coaching the next generation of Colliers leaders.
Young Women in Business is a community for emerging female leaders and young professionals who want to create their own success. Their mission is to provide ample opportunities for young professionals at UBC to build meaningful connections, learn new skills, and get involved.
