On January 1, 2021 Colliers Real Estate Management Services (REMS) assumed the property management of Cherry Lane Shopping Centre, located in Penticton, British Columbia. With this mandate, Colliers adds 280,000 square feet to its 12 million-square-foot retail portfolio.
Cherry Lane, owned by Manulife Investment Management, is a popular shopping destination for community members as it is the only enclosed mall in the South Okanagan and Similkameen Valley region. Located on 22 acres of land, the shopping centre features notable anchor tenants, such as London Drugs, Save-On-Foods, and Hudson’s Bay, and a diverse mix of over 50 nationally recognized retail tenants.
Prior to this mandate, REMS was offering portfolio leasing services to Manulife, and the team’s elevated service paved the way for REMS to be awarded the property management.
In the last two years, REMS’ retail portfolio has grown by 38% due to its strong retail expertise. The retail team is led by Jane Domenico, Senior Vice President & National Lead, Retail Services, Canada, who joined Colliers in 2019 and brought with her over 20 years of retail, asset, and investment management experience.
