The Answer is Right Here

Patrick Soucy and the Quebec City advisory team represented RADIO-CANADA in restructuring their lease on a 38,000 SF office space located at 888 St-Jean Street, in Quebec City.

Radio-Canada’s preference was to remain within its current space; however, they had several specific new requirements that would need to be addressed. Their current space was too large for their needs, so they wished to renew their lease on a smaller square footage. Also, as Radio-Canada’s operations within the building included frequent video filming, they wished for their place of business to project the best possible first impression for their many visiting clients and business partners. As such, they asked for the building’s lobby to be renovated as well as a rooftop terrace to be created.

So as to explore all possibilities and ensure the best outcome for their client, Patrick Soucy and his team performed a broad market study and uncovered several very competitive options, which they submitted to Radio-Canada. This also gave them favorable leverage in negotiating with the client’s current landlord.

In the end, the Colliers team was able to secure a new lease agreement for Radio-Canada to remain in the building at the best possible terms, and most importantly, fulfilling all their key requirements. The owner was also satisfied with the deal, having secured this A-grade tenant through a new long-term lease.
