New headquarters LEED® Certified, incorporate core values, promote sustainability
Since 1973, Canon Canada has sealed its reputation as a market leader in business and consumer imaging equipment and information systems. Recently the company initiated a relocation project to accommodate its growth and separate the corporate head office from warehouse operations.
Canon engaged Colliers to help with end-to-end service, starting with the location for the corporate headquarters in the GTA. The type of location was vital to the company’s philosophy of kyosei, the Japanese word for living and working together in harmony. The new headquarters needed to inspire collaboration and innovation, to be easily accessible, in a natural setting and environmentally sustainable. After an almost two-year search the project team identified 18 acres at the northwest corner of Mississauga Road and Steeles Avenue West in Brampton, Ontario as the ideal location
Colliers worked with Canon as a trusted advisor from the initial identification of the client’s vision through to its implementation.
The facility is LEED® Certified, reuses rainwater and overlooks a storm water pond. Throughout the design process Colliers’ LEED® Certified project team was instrumental in planning the building’s efficiency and environmentally sustainable operations. The end result is a building and environment that speak to Canon’s core values and to its Plans for future growth.
