The British Columbia Conference of the United Church of Canada (BCCUCC) holds an extensive portfolio of properties located throughout the Province. In recent years, its congregations have experienced increased costs and liabilities due to changing demographics and aging facilities. As a result, BCCUCC engaged Colliers Consulting as part of their Property Resource Team to help Presbyteries, Congregations and other ministries better understand and manage their assets.
One of our main tasks is to evaluate various redevelopment options based on each congregation’s needs and present the most viable mixed-use development scenarios. We develops financial models for evaluating economic viability and sustainability, leads the civic entitlement process and acts as a Development Manager in guiding the project from design inception through construction to move in.
To date, Colliers Consulting has completed numerous feasibility studies, is actively engaged with six congregations in securing civic approvals and has broken ground on development sites in Coquitlam and Nanaimo.
