Welcome to another installment of the Apartment & Redevelopment Newsletter, designed to bring you local relevant information about what’s happening in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Apartment and Land property market. We bring this to you on a monthly basis to assist Property owners in keeping up to date with industry news, recent transactions and development applications.

In March 2023 there were 11 transaction’s in GTA Apartments, for a value of $261,960,000 (up from 2 transactions in February!). This is down approximately 1.1% in aggregate value compared to March 2022 when there were 20 transactions for a total value of $264,995,000. There were 813 units traded in March 2023 vs 751 units traded in March 2022. Number of transactions was down 45% YoY (compared with 92% decrease in transactions in Feb 2023) with 8% increase in units transacted. March 2023’s numbers were heavily impacted by the major transaction of 2 & 4 Hanover Rd in Brampton which was 605 units. More details on this in our recent transactions section.
