After analyzing their internal capacity, the College partnered with Colliers Project Leaders to supplement their resources to transform a 1960s legacy building into a LEED Gold-candidate Centre of Excellence.
The new DARE District building is home to Ontario’s first Institute for Indigenous Entrepreneurship. With $22M in Strategic Investment Fund support, this is the only SIF-funded project in Ontario to deliver to the original program deadline and budget. This is in part due to the project management services we provided throughout design and construction. To facilitate the schedule and ensure the College met the aggressive deadline, a Construction Management methodology was used. Colliers Project Leaders worked closely with the City of Ottawa to receive permits on time, and due to the fast-tracked nature of the project, there was limited time for planning. The Colliers Project Leaders team was flexible and supportive in managing the program changes to benefit the College.
