Dan Jordan, Matt Smith, and Marco DiPaolo are pleased to announce the successful close of the largest lease ever completed in Mount Pleasant and the largest office lease done in Vancouver in 2020, on behalf of our client, Dayhu Group of Companies.
The process began with successfully closing the sale of a large development site at 150 West 4th Avenue to Dayhu. Following this transaction, the Colliers team was retained by Dayhu as the leasing agents for their planned development. The team worked closely with the Dayhu on building design and marketing strategy. Early in our marketing campaign, we engaged with a leading life sciences company in Vancouver, AbCellera Biologics, advancing discussions on how the development could accommodate their rapid growth needs.
AbCellera is a high-growth life sciences company which required more office and laboratory space in the neighbourhood. The Colliers team and Dayhu quickly engaged with AbCellera with negotiations moving swiftly. Dayhu was able to find creative ways to accommodate AbCellera’s requirements, and we quickly came to an agreement to lease the entire 130,000 square foot building.
This project was a true win-win, with the landlord securing a strong long-term tenant, and the tenant acquiring a cutting edge facility that suited their rapidly shifting needs.
