Patrick specializes in Tenant representation in the Downtown Office leasing market. Patrick uses a client-centered approach to provide expert advice in a timely, authentic and trustworthy manner. He has worked with tenants ranging in size from 2,000 to 100,000+ sq. ft. and uses his extensive market knowledge in Lease, Sublease, Expansions and Renewals to secure the best possible outcomes for his clients. Patrick has been directly involved in Lease and Sublease transactions totaling over 200,000 sq. ft. valued at more than $50 million since joining Colliers.
Prior to joining Colliers, Patrick earned a honors degree in Applied Economics from Queens University. Throughout his time at Queens Patrick was a member of the varsity hockey team, competing at the CIS level. To identify current and future market trends and provide his clients with the best solutions and services, Patrick utilizes his strong communication skills and competitive nature from hockey, combined with the valuable mathematical and analytical expertise gained through his study of Economics.
Patrick works on a team with his father Kevin McGillis and a high-level marketing design and office market analytics team to provide clients with expert advice. Furthermore, Patrick can offer his clients a wide range of support services from the Colliers platform including Appraisal and Valuation, Realty Tax Services, Operating Cost Audit Services, Project Management, Building Inspection Services, Lease Audit Services, Market Research, Multi-Market Services, Cost Consulting, and Real Estate Finance Strategies.
Patrick has experienced great success throughout his hockey career, winning two national championships. The first gold medal was won at the Telus Cup, when he served as captain of the Notre Dame Hounds in 2009. The following year Patrick joined the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL, where he helped his team win gold at the Royal Bank Cup National Championship in 2010. Patrick also helped his team reach the Royal Bank Cup finals a second time, but fell one goal short, which earned him a silver medal in 2011. In his final year with the Vernon Vipers Patrick was chosen as captain. At Queens, Patrick was elected assistant captain of the varsity hockey team in his senior year.
During his time with the Notre Dame Hounds, Vernon Vipers, and Queens University, Patrick was given several awards for sportsmanship, as well as community service, for his dedication to lend a helping hand in communities close to him.
Currently, Patrick sits on the board of directors for the Notre Dame Alumni Association.
Patrick graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Honors Degree in Applied Economics from Queens University.
