Corporate Social Responsibility

Colliers Corporate Social Responsibility

Colliers Canada is a unique, exciting company whose enterprising spirit, commitment to service excellence and culture of collaboration accelerate the success of our people, clients and communities.

Our culture is underscored with exceptionally high standards for our business activities, client service, interactions with each other, and contribution to our people and the places where we live and work.

We’re not just about “doing the right thing” for our image’s sake. We’re about making our business more responsive and encouraging our people to be more active in our communities, as well as confident in how they learn, grow and respond to change – all in a quest to achieve greater, collective success.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility program centres around four key principles

At Colliers, service excellence is of paramount importance.

We empower our people to provide clients – and one another – creative solutions that accelerate success.

Our objective is to significantly raise the standard of service delivery in the Canadian commercial real estate industry. In fact, we have designed a business plan around using and providing the best platforms, attracting and retaining the best people and elevating the strength of our brand - with the ultimate goal of accelerating the success of our clients.

  • Clients - We will continue to put clients first – to consistently deliver on our promises and exceed their expectations.
  • Brand - We want to be recognized as the dominant real estate services brand in Canada.
  • People - We will further advance our world-class professional development program and career-pathing with a goal to be one of Canada’s most sought-after employers.
  • Platform - We will use world-class business and technology platforms to deliver on client needs faster and more effectively.

Dedicated to delivering service excellence to our people, we provide them the resources they need to accelerate their success – both personally and professionally.

As Canada’s largest commercial real estate services provider, we recognize our responsibility to provide leadership in sustainability for built environments, businesses and the global society.

Leadership in sustainability must start at home. Colliers was the first major real estate services company in Canada to measure and publish our carbon footprint. Our Canadian operation currently emits 3,565 metric tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. We are actively engaged in greening our operations in a cycle of continuous improvement. We have green committees in our offices across Canada.

Our span of influence reaches far beyond our own operation, a responsibility we take seriously.

We encourage our clients to develop, build, occupy and manage their properties in a sustainable manner. We provide advice based on the latest technology and best global sustainability practices in property design, management and use. We empower our people to generate sustained economic value for our clients and investors, and social value for our communities. We continually expand our pool of environmental sustainability leaders. Our Canadian staff includes over 175 LEED®-accredited professionals.
