Colliers Hotel Team Secures Significant Mandate

news article

Colliers International Hotels based in Toronto has been engaged to sell a landmark hospitality asset – the 216-acre Grand Lucayan Beach Resort & Casino located in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, The Bahamas. The ultimate sponsor of the Vendor, the Government of The Bahamas, acquired the Property for US$65 million in September 2018 from Hutchinson Whampoa and is seeking a new investor that will restore operations with renewed investment.

It was Colliers’ real-time brokerage experience in the Caribbean that secured this prominent mandate, with the sale of the Baha Mar Resort in 2017 and British Colonial Properties in 2014 to name a few. The Offering of the Grand Lucayan is generating significant global interest from a range of investor groups, with the coordinated global exposure of our dedicated hospitality and investment professionals worldwide.
