Contrary to the majority of Canada and the rest of the world, the province of Manitoba weathered the COVID-19 pandemic rather well, recording 11 straight days with no new cases at the start of Q3 2020.

  • As restrictions eased, a renewed sense of “normalcy” led to some market traction in the first half of the quarter.
  • Heading into Q4, Winnipeg now has the highest active case numbers seen in Manitoba and thus activity seems to be waning; a situation that will need monitoring and patience from both landlords and tenants.
