Colliers Real Estate Management Services (REMS) has been awarded management of 1075 W Georgia, a Class A office building in Vancouver’s downtown core. KingSett Capital, Crestpoint Real Estate Investments and Reliance Properties partnered on the acquisition from British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCIMC), which closed on April 1st.
Located in Vancouver’s downtown core, the Class A, 26-storey, 360,000 SF property is 100% leased and LEED Gold certified. The award-winning building was designed by renowned architect, Arthur Erickson, and holds a Class A heritage status.
This win further cements REMS’ reputation as the provider of choice for Class A+ assets. Already familiar with REMS’ strong national platform and first-class service levels, the client viewed REMS as an advisor for Class A buildings and determined that REMS was therefore the best manager to help them reposition and revitalize 1075 West Georgia.
“In 2017, KingSett awarded us management of two suburban office properties to see how we compared to other third-party managers and based on our performance, they have now decided to entrust us with 1075 West Georgia - their flagship asset in Western Canada. We are excited and proud to partner with them on this iconic Vancouver building,” states Lesley Heieis
, Vice President & Managing Broker, REMS British Columbia.
With Vancouver’s downtown core in a constant state of development, there is an opportunity to refresh the property’s identity in the marketplace. Ultimately, the goal is to reposition the building so that it appeals to tenants that orbit the tech or creative industries by focusing on delivering AAA service with a dedicated on-site management team and enhancing occupant engagement through our mobile app, ColliersConnect, and GreenSpace, our sustainability and wellness program.
