In the final quarter of the year, the vacancy rate of the Winnipeg office market dropped slightly to 11.6%.
- While there was an overall positive absorption of 72,591 SF, the commissioning of 57,000 SF at 900 Lorimer kept the vacancy stagnant.
- The absorption in the Downtown and Suburban office markets were 38,266 SF and 34,325 SF of positive absorption respectively. This is definitely one stat line to monitor closely moving into 2020 as the economic advantage for the suburbs over Downtown has narrowed in recent years.
