Nova Scotia’s overall office vacancy rate saw a slight downward movement this quarter, declining by 21 basis points from last quarter to 13.9% in the fourth quarter of 2022.

  • As Halifax transitions into the “post-pandemic” era, there are higher volumes of employees returning to office be recorded this quarter than expected which provides cause for optimism as it relates to the office market.
  • Larger companies continue to navigate the complexities of return-to-office strategies, while smaller companies appear to rightsize the space as hybrid working continues.
