Shiri Rosenberg Wins 2020 REmmy CSR Leadership Award

Shiri Rosenberg, Asset Manager, Real Estate Management Services, was honoured as a CSR leader by CoreNet Global’s Canadian chapter. Nominated by Arlene Dedier, Director, Colliers Project Leaders, Shiri was recognized for her role in the Colliers Urban Farming Initiative, which leads commercial property owners and tenants to enhance cities by growing food in urban settings.

The initiative was initially launched to help connect owners, occupants, and community members with the intent of looking at the outdoor spaces Colliers manages through a fresh lens. The first project under this initiative was an Edible Food Garden at 95 St. Clair Avenue West, a Desjardins Financial Security Life Assurance Company site. Shiri, along with the Colliers team, proudly repurposed the outdoor exterior of the site from an unproductive space to one that was productive, activating the site, growing food for the community to combat food insecurity, engaging occupants in their health and wellness journeys, and supporting urban biodiversity.

“We would not have been able to execute this initiative without the full trust that the client had with the on-site team. From the idea to on-site support, everyone’s trust and commitment to collaboration made this project a success,” shares Shiri.

The REmmy Awards recognize leadership excellence, innovation, sustainable design, and social responsibility in corporate real estate and workplace management and the CSR Leadership Award celebrates a visionary Canadian organization, department, or individual whose culture, product or project best demonstrates leadership, innovation or commitment to sustainable design and social responsibility throughout its real estate portfolio.
