The Hotels were well received by the investment community during the marketing process given their favourable locations in Northern Ontario, upside operating potential and alternate marketing strategies available for new owners to implement. The sale encompassed two transactions which included a portfolio purchase of the 60-room Comfort Inn North Bay Airport O’Brien and 81-room Comfort Inn North Bay Lakeshore, and a standalone acquisition of the 58-room Comfort Inn Barrie. Both transactions were sold to local private investors in March 2015 and May 2015, respectively.
