Barocco X Nino’s Recipe for Success, Resilience & Local Partnership

alt=""

“A unique food and beverage collaboration”

This is the phrase Barocco Coffee President Bruno Colozza used to describe Barocco X Nino, a café in Toronto’s Dufferin Grove neighbourhood offering “a full coffee bar experience with a complementary food-hall style offering”.  A product of a partnership between Barocco Coffee and bakery and trattoria Nino D’Aversa, this neighbourhood gem had been in operation a mere five months when the pandemic hit. In this podcast, Bruno talks about how the Barocco X Nino concept was brewed, as well as how this tasty destination had to pivot and remix its approach and offerings in light of COVID-19, from findings new ways grow the business, to changing its menu and merchandise. Bruno likewise touches on the “silver lining” amidst the challenges, including partnering with other local vendors and artisans, a move that has resulted in a coming together, not just of delectable foods and flavours, but of the business community.
