The International Property Awards honoured Colliers with the Best Development Marketing, Canada distinction (for Vancouver’s King Business Park) at a virtual Red-Carpet Presentation that took place on January 13, 2022.
King Business Park is a project by Cedar Coast, a Vancouver, B.C.-based real estate development and investment firm with a 19-year track record of successful outcomes throughout the Pacific Northwest. Cedar Coast partnered with Colliers in Vancouver to market and sell its new, high-end, custom-built 112,372-square-foot development on a strata basis, and attract industrial users looking to own new premium space in the Fraser Valley.
Colliers’ successful marketing strategy involved creating an appealing brand for the target market; telling a story that spoke to the features and benefits of King Business Park, the location and the Cedar Coast brand; and executing a targeted marketing campaign that effectively conveyed the advantages of King Business Park to generate qualified leads and ensure the property sold out in the shortest period.
It was critical that the strategy and tactics reflect current market circumstances as the project launched amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The campaign and project have been a huge success, surpassing expectations. The marketing campaign launched in July 2020; by the end of August, 56 percent of King Business Park’s units were under contract with local companies. The Colliers team achieved record-setting prices in Abbotsford and the surrounding area.
This year marks the eighth time Colliers has won the Canadian Property Marketing category at the International Property Awards.
