Phil Gibbons began his career in commercial real estate in 2005 after graduating from the BCIT Commercial Real Estate program. Phil has since been actively involved in the sale and leasing of all asset classes successfully completing hundreds of transactions to date. Working alongside some of his closest clients, Phil has also been involved in the development of over 1750,000 square feet of commercial property. Phil Joined Colliers in 2017 which enabled him to broaden his client base and expertise in the commercial real estate industry.
Phil is also one of the leading self storage brokers in Western Canada. Phil sold his first self-storage development site in Nanaimo in 2007 and was actively involved in the development of the 110,000 SF tilt-up concrete facility that was constructed on the site.
Not only has Phil been involved on the brokerage side of the storage business, but he has been involved in the operations side as well. In 2009, Phil was hired by StorageMart to manage and lease-up their brand new 90,000 square foot facility in Vancouver. Over 1,000 units were leased up over the span of 2 years.
Phil is also an owner of self storage properties. This assists in fine tuning the everyday knowledge in running a storage facility.

Phil is an active member of the Canadian Self Storage Association (CSSA). In 2019 and 2022, Phil was as panelist at the western Canada CSSA conference.
