Melissa enjoys volunteering her time to charities such as Eva's Initiatives, Habitat for Humanity, Juvenille Diabetes and the Ronald McDonald Home for Dinner program.

In 2018, Dane was recognized as Colliers #1 Industrial Broker in Canada (#2 broker overall). Dane transacted $343M across 3.4M SF, which included the largest industrial investment transaction in Colliers history. In 2017 and 2019, Dane was Colliers #2 industrial broker in Canada (#3 broker overall) where he transacted $265M/2.6M SF and $205M/2.1M SF.
SIOR INDUSTRIAL BROKER OF THE YEAR
Dane was recognized as SIOR Industrial Broker of the Year - a distinction presented annually to the top industrial broker in the Greater Toronto Area. SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) is the leading professional industrial and commercial real estate association in the world with active members in 630 markets throughout 34 countries. The SIOR award selection process involves careful consideration of size, value and volume of transactions in a calendar year, reputation in the commercial real estate industry, impact, creativity and other significant accomplishments.
NAIOP INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE YEAR
Dane is a two-time recipient of NAIOP’s Industrial Development of the Year:
- 2018: Congebec Logistics design-build development of a 228,694 SF state-of-the-art freezer with transaction value of $67M.
- 2016: TransForce complex conversion and repositioning of an obsolete manufacturing facility into a functional mixed-use office/cross dock, culminating a 145,000 SF lease valued at $16.7 Million.

Dane represented two of the three NAIOP industrial lease of the year finalists in 2017:
- Congebec Logistics: 228,694 SF design build lease valued at $67M
- VersaCold Logistics Services: 572,192 SF lease valued at $88M
