Justin joined Simon Becker and Michael Salomons to round out the real estate financing offerings in Alberta. Justin assists in sourcing, structuring, and placing of debt facilities for all asset classes including acquisition, construction, and term financing for industrial, residential/multi-family, retail, and commercial projects. Over the span of his career, he has held several progressive roles including Mortgage Analyst and Senior Mortgage Underwriter.
Justin is a graduate of the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance. During his undergraduate studies, Justin was the President of the Real Estate Student Association (RESA), turning his real estate interest into his current career. He is active in cultivating a network in the industry, connecting with key leaders for mentorship and developing professional relationships.

Simon is a leader and expert in the mortgage industry with over a decade of experience sourcing and structuring creative commercial mortgages for private, public, and institutional real estate owners and developers. Simon sources and structures acquisition, construction, and term financing for all asset classes including: industrial, multi-family, retail, and commercial projects. His career boasts over $4 billion of completed financing, including over 40,000 multi-family rental/condo units and over 4MM square feet of commercial space. He is licensed as a Mortgage Associate under RECA, bilingual in both English and French, and is an alumnus of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce – Finance.
Since 2014, Michael Salomons has structured over $2.5 billion in financing across all asset classes with over 40 different financial institutions and private lenders. Michael’s pragmatic approach to underwriting, deal structuring, identifying/addressing challenges while demonstrating clear exit strategies has gained lender confidence across the country and earn the trust from his clients and peers in delivering certainty in execution.
Michael formed the Alberta Debt Advisory Team alongside Simon Becker (Vice President, Real Estate Finance) spanning a decade long working relationship. Also part of the team is Justin McGaw (Associate, Real Estate Finance), who joined Michael and Simon 3 years ago. The Alberta Debt Advisory Team specializes in Commercial Real Estate Finance including acquisition, bridge, construction, term and CMHC-insured financing across all asset classes, nationwide.
