I joined Colliers in 2018 looking to expand my specialization and work closely with Chris Blanchette on expropriation, partial and linear taking, litigation and arbitration files.
Appraisal purposes have included: Expropriation, partial and linear taking, arbitration and mediation work, legal settlement, consulting, sale, purchase and finance, lease analysis, tax dispute, probate, and capital gains.
Spearheaded a legal appraisal team with senior appraisers in the firm.
Headed a review of all properties for Scout’s Canada’s national portfolio and created a summary report.
Executed a market rental study of residential properties for the Canadian Forces Housing Association.
I was trusted to oversee the opening of a new office in Langley for a previous appraisal firm and redeveloped the company’s market share in the Fraser Valley.
Produce sophisticated analysis on unique subject properties, even those with weak comparable properties. Locate relevant, yet obscure or undisclosed data through research and networking.

Prior to my career in the real estate field I was a Fisheries Biologist and researched and conducted all aspects of salmon resource and habitat evaluation in Britich Columbia, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

Chris entered the real estate industry in 1973 and became a full-time appraiser in 1976. He has been in the field for more than 47 years, 44 of which has been in the real estate appraisal business. He was awarded the use of the professional designation AACI on July 10, 1980.
His field of expertise includes all types of real estate from residential to commercial, industrial, as well as vacant land and various forms of partial taking and partial interest valuations. His specialty has evolved over the years, and he now focuses on land appraisals and expropriation cases, as well as industrial improved property valuation.
His clients range from Federal, Provincial, and municipal governments, as well as major banks, credit unions, and institutions such as BC Hydro and Metro Vancouver. He is the only approved appraiser for the Royal Bank of Canada at Colliers in BC.
