Amanda assists General Manager, Phil Sibbald, Senior Property Manager Brenda Bolwyn, and Property Manager Tamara Mutemwa, with the day to day management of over a half a million square feet of primarily office and retail properties in Victoria, on Vancouver Island, and the surrounding area.
Amanda has superb organizational and time management skills. She is often the first point of contact for Vendors, Tenants, Landlords, Brokers, and the general public. She is experienced in event planning/management and site organization, as well as general accounting practices, budget preparation, accounts receivable collection, accounts payable and deposit reconciliation. She provides excellent customer service; her dedication is evident in her work ethic.
Amanda joined Colliers in October of 2007. Prior to joining Colliers, she worked as an Administrative Assistant and Site Organizer for the Tourism and Hospitality Department of Royal Roads University and Hatley Park National Historic Site.
Amanda attended both Camosun College and Selkirk College where she developed her interest in International Business, Ethnic Relations, and Psychology. She continues to develop her professional skill set.
Amanda was nominated for a Colliers International Service Excellence Award in 2015 and 2016. Nominations are accepted from fellow employees and Clients from across Canada each year for a limited amount of time. Each year hundreds of submissions are received nominating hundreds of employees for this award, and each year only ten deserving individuals are chosen. In 2017 Amanda was honored to be one of ten people across Canada to win this award.
Amanda was nominated and chosen as a Colliers Top Employee in 2015 and 2016 for her significant contributions to her community.
Amanda won a Tenant Satisfaction Gold Award in 2014, and a REMS Service Excellence Award in 2016. These awards are provided based on the independent survey results of current Tenants.
Amanda is active in her community and is currently serving as the Communication Coordinator for the Vancouver Island Colliers Cares Foundation, where she is heads the Fundraising and Events committee.
Amanda has completed a two year term on the Board of Directors of a local Housing Co-Operative as a Member at Large, and Maintenance Coordinator. Amanda is a founding member of the Housing Co-Operative's Environmental Health and Safety Committee, and served as it's Secretary.
Amanda has assisted in the organization, planning and execution of numerous Colliers charitable golf tournaments since 2007, in 2015 Amanda became the sole Event Coordinator for the tournament. The tournament has been an annual tradition of the Colliers Victoria office for the last thirty years, and has raised over $950,000 for local charities.
