Survey Monkey Lands Unique Space for First Canadian Office

Tech company establishes second headquarters in Ottawa

With offices around the world, online survey and cloud-based software company Survey Monkey had recently experienced exponential growth. The US-based technology company needed space and amenities to house its expanding workforce and sought to establish a large footprint in the National Capital Region.

Leveraging relationships leads to exceptional solutions

Having been successfully represented by Colliers in the past, Gillin Engineering made the decision to engage David MacLeod to market its B class building on Laurier Avenue. Potential tenants were identified based on the amenities Laurier Avenue has to offer.

Gillin had experience working with fast-growing tech companies and offered Survey Monkey a solution to suit their culture and anticipate future growth. By leveraging the consultation and engineering expertise, Gillin offered a turnkey space with customized amenities. Gillian put in an internal staircase and helped create a smart, playful and curious space for Survey Monkey.

Positioned for long-term growth

Survey Monkey’s 150-plus employees currently occupy six floors and more than 40,000 square feet of space, with room for expansion on two adjacent floors. Reflective of its culture of inclusion and engagement, Survey Monkey reached out to its people to ask what amenities are important to them. The space offers game and activity rooms, a training floor and a design centre. Survey Monkey expects the company will likely double its presence in the Capital and this space offers room to future growth.
