Professional Summary

With over 30  years’ experience in commercial real estate, Scott has worked across Canada on all asset types providing all aspects of investor services.

Prior to joining Colliers International Canada, Scott was President & CEO of the Canadian operations of Cushman & Wakefield Ltd. after previously leading its national Valuation and Advisory group.  His experience also includes tenure as a Director at Scotia Capital where he led real property brokerage and advisory for the investment bank. 

Accomplishments

Scott has lead or participated in assignments across Canada including underwriting major investment sales (Scotia Plaza in Toronto, Scotia Centre in Calgary, Central City in Surrey, Summit REIT national portfolio) as well as acquisition due diligence on behalf of buyers (Cite Multimedia in Montreal, 151 Front in Toronto, O&Y REIT Portfolio).  He has also lead major national valuation exercises (Choice REIT and CT REIT IPO valuations) and numerous site-specific and market-wide retail, office and industrial market studies for institutional, private and public clients across Canada.

Since joining the national Capital Markets group at Colliers in 2016, Scott has been involved in major dispositions across Canada including the sale of  Gateway Casiinos (over $500 million) and 1075 West Georgia ($274 million) in Vancouver,  ICON Business Park ($88 million) in Calgary , Market at Magrath ($36 million) in Edmonton,  the Allied Properties portfolio ($26 million) in Winnipeg, Burlington Business Park ($111 million) and 675 Cochrane ($118 million) in the GTA , Carling Executive Park ($57 million) in Ottawa and the Bullfrog Business Park ($91 million) in Halifax.

Memberships & Involvements

Scott is a member of a number of professional associations including the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), where he sits on the board of the GTA chapter.  He currently sits on the Real Estate and Housing Advisory Board for the University of Guelph. Scott has also appeared before the Ontario Municipal Board on numerous occasions as a market expert. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS).
