At Colliers, we’re not just about doing the right thing for our image’s sake. We’re about making our business more responsive, and our people more active in our communities, offering an opportunity to learn and grow; all in a quest to achieve greater collective success for our city. This is why we continue to be a strong supporter and actively involved with our local charitable partners throughout Toronto.

Last year, as the presenting sponsor, Colliers Toronto initiated the first ever Habitat for Humanity Corporate Real Estate Build Day, collectively raising enough money to build a home for a Toronto family. Additionally, our employees participate annually in Habitat for Humanity build days.

As a Partner in Strength, Colliers is a strong supporter of the "home away from home" that Ronald McDonald House Toronto provides to families with seriously ill children. Colliers is an active partner in Ronald McDonald’s Home for Dinner program, in which employees get involved by helping to make a warm meal for deserving families.

As Toronto’s top-ranked commercial real estate firm, we are in a unique position to make a dramatic and positive impact on our environment. We recognize our responsibility to provide leadership in sustainability for built environments, to businesses and to our city.

We know that leadership and initiative needs to start in our own backyards. In Toronto, we have a committee dedicated to reducing our ecological footprint. We have implemented over 17 different initiatives that have included Zip Car, TTC and bike to work programs, just to name a few. Partnered with members of our local green community, we are committed to accelerating the success of Toronto’s green initiatives, while reducing the environmental impact.

Colliers is also a proud member and supporter of the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC).

Working out of our Toronto office, Colliers’ Canadian leader of brokerage sustainability has served on the Board of Directors of the CaGBC since 2006 and is currently serving a third term as Vice Chair.

Colliers is the Founding Global Partner of the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) and serves as an ambassador to the WorldGBC, playing a leadership role in accelerating the green building movement around the world.

Additionally, we continually expand our pool of environmental sustainability leaders. Our Canadian staff includes 175 LEED® accredited professionals.
