Colliers and Electronic Arts

Colliers and Electronic Arts - Celebrating 15 Years of Service

When Electronic Arts (EA) opened the doors to their one-of-a-kind Canadian campus in December 1998, Colliers Real Estate Management Services was by their side, providing customized facility services.

Electronic Arts Burnaby Campus

Electronic Arts is a leader in interactive entertainment software, producing and distributing video games around the world. The Electronic Arts campus, located in Burnaby, BC, is home to several of their Canadian studios. The campus is 420,000 square feet and consists of state-of-the-art facilities including several theatres, a full service fitness facility, a regulation-sized soccer field, cafes, coffee bars, and EA’s very own motion capture studio. Phases 2 and 3 of the campus are both LEED® certified.

During the campus’ initial construction phase, Colliers worked with Electronic Arts to ensure minimal disruption to their employees. Colliers was able to provide recommendations on building systems early on, saving Electronic Arts a significant amount of money over the years that followed. This included input on operational commissioning of the building and life cycle considerations for all building systems.

Colliers’ team of six service technicians provides on-site services five days a week. This team of facility service experts has extensive knowledge of the property and all its critical building systems, and ensure they are in top condition and perform properly. Colliers’ on-site service technician team specializes in a variety of areas including plumbing, electrical work, heating and ventilation, and carpentry. This broad range of skills is necessary to meet the needs of this unique property.

“They truly do go above and beyond the call of duty and I’m very confident that Colliers does a phenomenal job protecting and optimizing Electronic Arts’ real estate assets,” explained Frank Bassett, Sr. Director, Facilities, Real Estate & Corporate Services, Electronic Arts.

Over the past 15 years, Electronic Arts has become more than a client—they are truly part of the Colliers family. The entire team at Colliers would like to take this opportunity to thank Electronic Arts for their continued commitment. We look forward to growing our relationship with them into the future and celebrating further service milestones.
